Who Got Next? Stacks got next. Darnell Brown aka Stacks the MenACE is an eighteen year old rapper hailing from the Far Rockaway section of Queens, New York City. Coming from a rough upbringing in a neighborhood known primarily for crime and poverty, Stacks the MenACE uses his wit, intelligence, creativity, humor, and versatility to express himself through music in an abstract unorthodox style that seems familiar and nostalgic, yet new and foreign. A survivor of the events of Hurricane Sandy, he uses his music to channel his thoughts and feelings creatively to form a unique experience listeners wont soon forget. With a complex hybrid style with hints of influences including Q-Tip, MF DOOM, Nas, Eminem, and Inspectah Deck; Stacks the MenACE brings to the table deep messages, complicated muliti-syllabic rhyme schemes, and unorthodox metaphors that illustrate the duality of his personality, due to his perspective of being an urban youth in an under-privileged household attending New York City’s elite schools as an honor student. Stacks the MenACE is also a member and co-founder of a Queens based art collective called Abstract Creative Endeavors (A.C.E for short) that brings together different forms of media whether it be music and film or drawing and designs to showcase the talent still present in a generation looked at as uncultured. This currently independent unsigned young artist shows that through perseverance, imagination, and determination no feat is impossible.
